Getting Started Q: I just installed ShutDownOnTime, how do I set it up?A: Setting up ShutDownOnTime means to set the time your computer should perform a defined power action. Follow these simple steps to configure it.
1. Select the action to be performed
2. Select which days you want to schedule (hold down ‘ctrl’ and click on the days you want)
3. Type in the time that you want the action to be performed (in 24 hour format, so 1:00pm = 13:00)
4. Type in the time, in seconds, that you want to allow the user to cancel the action (so if typed 60, you will get sixty seconds to press cancel before the action is executed.)
5. Optional Settings:
- If you want to run something before the action is executed (or no action is taken) check “Execute File before Action” and select the program.
- If you want the action to be run, even if another program tries to stop it from running, check “Force Action.”
6. Click “set” and then check “Activate”. That's it for the basic settings, you can now close ShutDownOnTime and from now on it will run in the system tray.
Q: What do ShutDown, Reboot, Hibernate, Standby and Log Off mean?A: Terms explained:
